4B had a wonderful day at the Chocolate Museum in Brixton! We learned all about where chocolate originated from and how it is made. We even got to make our own chocolate! It was tough work. We started by grinding the cocoa nibs into a fine powder. We then heated the powder and added cinnamon and chilli to it. Next, we added honey syrup to the mixture and pressed it down with our spoons. Finally, we transferred our mixtures from our bowls into our packaging. Later on in the session, we designed the wrapper for our chocolate using Mayan hieroglyphs. It was a truly amazing experience for all of us! We can’t wait to go home and eat our chocolate with our families.
