In Key Stage 2 we aim to provide a balanced curriculum that is relevant to the children’s lives.  The emphasis is on key skills, focusing on the subjects to develop life skills and a deeper understanding of the Christian faith.  The curriculum is designed within the whole school context, building on the learning in Foundation Years and Key Stage 1.

Alongside this emphasis on core skills is the recognition that children will thrive when given an opportunity to explore all areas of their creativity. We therefore include a wide variety of foundation subjects that provides stimulation and helps to meet the individual needs of each pupil. The children are given lots of opportunities to enhance their learning through extra-curricular clubs and educational visits.

Children will be expected to complete set homework to consolidate their learning. This may include maths, reading, topic work and spellings.

The Key Stage Leader is Mrs Taylor.
