Computing
Our engaging computing curriculum equips our pupils in becoming independent, creative, safe, respectful and problem-solving digital citizens. We cover a broad range of skills and concepts, which children build upon each year as they move through the school. The three broad aspects of our curriculum are:
Computer Science: Pupils learn to program physical and on-screen objects using both block and text based programming.
Information Technology: Pupils learn how to use various digital applications, including how to create videos, digital art, graphic design, 3D modelling and animations.
Digital Literacy: Pupils learn to find, evaluate and utilise the internet and other technologies, as well as understanding computing networks in Key Stage 2.
We have a strong focus on e-safety throughout our computing curriculum to ensure that our pupils can confidently and safely contribute to and benefit from the digital world.
