Extended Services
At St Thomas' we realised that parents and carers have very busy lives to juggle. In order to meet your needs we have three different clubs available to you to make life a little bit easier.
After School Clubs
We offer a wide range of clubs for children in KS1 and KS2 for a small cost for each club. Our clubs run half termly and change according to the time of year and staff availability. We ask that all children come with a light snack and appropriate clothing/equipment and that they are collected from the front entrance on Commonside East at 4.30pm
Our clubs are delivered by specialist coaches and there is always something to suit most interests. The clubs available may include; arts & crafts, dance, football, basketball, tennis, arts and crafts, gymnastics, and in the Summer term, athletics. We also offer a Polish language club.
Clubs are allocated on a first come first served basis, however, children who were note allocated a place in the previous term will get priority for the following term. Please read our most up to date club letter or visit the school office for more information.
In addition there will always be a fully qualified first aider available and all our coaches and specialist teachers are DBS checked.
Breakfast Club
Our Breakfast Club runs from 7:45am - 8:45am daily and is managed in house by Mrs Powell and Ms Alleyne.
The Breakfast menu is in line with our School's healthy food policy and consists of a choice of cereals served with semi-skimmed milk, apple or orange juice, toast or bread with low-fat spread and a choice of spreads. There will be a range of activities for the children to choose from and at the end of the breakfast club the children are taken straight to their classes ready for the school day.
Pricing for the Breakfast club is £6.00 per child per day and bookings must be made 24 hours in advance using our online Parentmail booking system. Cash or cheques will not be accepted.
Placement is on a first come first served basis - Please note, only children booked on the system will be accepted on the day.
Entry to Breakfast Club is via the main entrance on Commonside East.
Please be assured there are First Aid trained staff and a designated safeguarding lead on site at all times.
Kidz Klub
The Kidz Klub is available from Nursery to Year 6 pupils. It operates Monday to Friday from 3.10pm to 5:45pm and is managed by Mrs Powell using existing staff who many of the children will know and love.
Pricing for the Kidz Klub is £14 per session and will include a choice of snacks consisting of toast, cheese, jam as well as Juice, fruit, and a biscuit.
There is a range of engaging activities, which include role-play, reading, cooking, computers/ipads, crafting, learning & discovery, outdoor activities, movies as well as a pool table and help with homework should they request it.
