Goodbye Fluffy Friends

Peck, peck, peck on the warm brown egg

Out comes a neck, out comes a leg

How does a chick who’s not been about!

Discover the trick of how to get out?

Two weeks ago, we had 10 eggs delivered to our Year 2 children that were days away from being hatched into gorgeous little chicks!  They were kept warm in a glass incubator and by Wednesday the first little bundle of fluff was born!  The lighter coloured chicks are male and the d coloured chicks are female. The children can see a picture guide on how they hatch and how they start to grow.  They are so fluffy and beautiful and all the children are in love with them – and so are the staff!  As they got bigger, the children were able to hold and pet them.  It has been a wonderful two weeks watching the eggs hatch into beautiful, strong and playful chicks.  Today we handed them back to Living Eggs. We will miss them but we know they will continue to grow big and strong!

It’s been so egg-citing!!!!
